We are making progress...

I think that Lindsey is finally getting used to "Big Sisterhood." Just this morning I overheard her ask Allyson if she would be her best friend. Allyson replied by pulling Lindsey's hair. Hmmmm... Is that a yes?

Christmas List

My sister in law asked our oldest daughter what was on her list yesterday. I patiently sat back wondering what she may say. When she responded with a book title, I almost cried. You see, my beautiful girl is the most loving, caring, intelligent little girl on the planet(Okay I am a wee bit biased.) and has struggled her whole life with written language, so to hear her requesting a book sent goosebumps to all parts of my body. After all of the extra help, encouragement, testing, and just plain old love she is finally reading for pleasure. (Sniff sniff)

Here goes nothing...

It's not easy to share your thoughts. So I am going to take this slowly. (Gulp)

Today is a lazy Sunday. Two of our children are sick and our oldest is in a soccer tournament about an hour away. So hubby is on the road headed for the game, the baby is taking a nap, and the three remaining children are playing a game. (Let's see how long that lasts before somebody starts crying??!) I say this because when the kids are sick they are ultra sensitive. I once called our son a silly goose when he had a fever and he cried for twenty minutes. Who knew?

Here is the bright side of this situation...

I have a tasty mug of semi-warm coffee in front of me.

The kids are most likely suffering from a virus...nothing serious.

It's NOT a stomach bug!

And I will save a little in the laundry department because it will probably
be a pajama day for at least two people in our home today.
